About PMP

People.
Mountain.
People.

People. Mountain. People.

PMP stands for People Mountain People. The Chinese characters for person and mountain form xian, the inspiration for our name. The two Ps echo a microscope and molecular bonds; the M is both a mountain and a pair of cat ears. A little curiosity, alongside serious research.

How are my research data and analyses kept private?

Project files, raw data and analysis results are stored on your computer by default. Data processing uses local algorithms. This website presents the product and fictional workflow examples; it does not upload or analyze your research files. Connected external agents may read project materials within the permissions you grant. Whether content is sent to a model provider depends on that agent's settings and permissions. Connect only tools you trust, and review what data they can access and share.

Can I connect the agent tools I already use?

Connect WorkBuddy, Codex and other agents through the local MCP interface to review project progress, edit protocols and daily tasks, and invoke supported local analysis tools. Your agent client version must support local STDIO MCP; available actions depend on the workstation's exposed capabilities. Models and accounts are managed by your chosen agent tool. Research results still require confirmation by the researcher.
